For 15 years Futurecity has promoted the importance of culture as a driving narrative across the real estate sector, from Build to Rent and Business Investment Districts to Residential, Retail, and Creative Districts. We joined the NLA with a Culture led Placemaking event in 2014. In 2018 we published a manifesto as part of our NLA exhibition promoting the digital and immersive arts in architecture, landscape, and infrastructure. In 2023 we have re-joined the NLA at a time of upheaval and societal change, where more than ever culture provides ‘software not hardware’ and acts as a catalyst, lens and narrator.
