London Councils is the collective of local government in London: the 32 boroughs and the City of London.
It is where London’s Leaders’ shared ambitions are developed, agreed, championed, and delivered by members working together. Where they speak as one and collaborate with the government, the Mayor of London, the London public sector, the third sector, business, and other key UK and international cities for the benefit of all our residents and their communities.
London Councils is a key partner in Opportunity London to attract sustainable investment and has developed the London Infrastructure Framework of major projects which would unlock economic growth across all London’s boroughs.
London Councils ensures that the London local government perspective is part of policy development at national level. This means addressing immediate challenges as well as our long-term ambitions of improving the health and well-being of all Londoners, tackling deprivation and the inequalities that Londoners face, securing fair funding, achieving net zero.
London Councils provides a number of services to London residents on behalf of their member boroughs. These include the Freedom Pass, Taxicard, Health Emergency Badge and a grants programme for voluntary sector organisations in London. We also support a fair and independent parking appeals service, and host the
