Support Hayes Davidson's 'HD5K 2025' event on 15 May and join them on their charity run around Hyde Park to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

May 15th is HD5K day and there is still time to join us!

This year’s charity run in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association will be run on May 15th at Hyde Park. The highlight of Hayes Davidson’s fundraising year, HD5K was established in memory of HD’s founder Alan Davidson, who was diagnosed with MND in 2012, aged just 52. Alan established HD5K in 2018, and the event has since become a fitting legacy for his life and passions, raising more than £300,000 since its inception to help support those who suffer from MND and associated neurological conditions.

Year on year, HD5K attracts a lively crowd of architects, developers and designers who help celebrate Alan’s legacy, raise some money for a great cause, meet old and new friends and have some fun.

What could be better than running around Hyde Park on a summer’s evening?!

After the run, everyone is invited back to the Hayes Davidson studio for drinks and prizes to reward the fastest runners and biggest fundraisers. And as always, we have some wonderful sponsors, including this year, Ali Tomlin Ceramic, NLA, LREF and Vitra. And huge thanks to BOB Design, who have designed us a fantastic new HD5K logo which will be on the T-shirt given to every runner.

There is always a real buzz and a great atmosphere. If you are thinking about joining this year, just do it!

There are still a few places left for this year’s HD5K, so if you fancy taking part and joining practices including AHMM, Heatherwick Studio, Hopkins Architects, RSHP, and Allies and Morrison, please get in touch by completing the form here. The entry fee is £300 for three runners, and all monies raised are matched by the Alan Davidson Foundation.

Highlights from last year’s run here. We look forward to seeing you!

Why support MNDA?
Motor Neurone Disease is a brutal, degenerative condition, and fundraising is essential to provide support for those affected and drive forward research. In 2024 alone, the MND Association:
  • Provided 2,602 support grants
  • Awarded £2.2 million in grants and unlocked £3.6 million in benefits
  • Responded to nearly 9,400 calls through its helpline
  • Handled 1,037 cases through its Welfare Benefits Service, ensuring people with MND received the support they deserved
