Henge

Built

Located at Wren Landing, in London’s business hub Canary Wharf, Henge was a temporary installation developed by Stanton Williams, Webb Yates and LSI Stone for the 2022 London Design Festival

Located in Cabot Square, in the London’s business hub Canary Wharf, Henge was a temporary installation inspired by the more than 1,300 prehistoric stone circles and monuments that are scattered across Britain, Ireland and Brittany. Its subtle yet alluring sculptural form invited those who worked, lived, and visited the area to engage with it creatively, using it as a space for contemplation and reflection as well as an inclusive civic arena for art performances, and informal gatherings.

This project is featured alongside our Public London: Activating the City insight study. The publication, exhibition and online project directory explore what constitutes a successful and democratic public realm today, the role of co‑creation and partnerships, and how we can ensure that places are fit‑for‑purpose in the long term.
