The new headquarters for the Institute of Physics (IOP) in Kings Cross is a highly sustainable building which acts as a ‘living lab’ to showcase physics and innovative technology.
The new headquarters for the Institute of Physics is a highly sustainable building which acts as a ‘living lab’ to showcase physics and innovative technology. This radical reworking of a 19th century terrace creates an inquisitive and contemporary headquarters for the IOP. The institute now has a public building to provide education and exhibition facilities, a London office, an Accelerator Centre for start-ups, lecture theatre, and members’ room. The outcome encapsulates the IOPs drivers of education, community, discovery, and economy.
