Oasis Nature Garden Building and Project Jubilee

Proposed

The new Oasis Nature Garden Building will provide classroom and a forest nursery school. It will be built with re-used materials, some taken from a larger office retrofit - Project Jubilee.

MBA has created a circular economy between their two projects; Oasis Nature Garden and Project Jubilee. A forest nursery school, with a separate classroom for the nature garden, in Stockwell, is designed to be built entirely from waste or reused materials sourced from developments. Implementing Circular Economy principles, the Jubilee office retrofit acts as one material donor. ‘Mining the Anthropocene’ - materials are identified, deconstructed, protected, and stored for reuse. A further aim is to create a “circularity network”, encouraging others to re-use in construction.
