Royal Wharf Pier

Built

London’s newest and longest riverboat terminal. In addition to becoming the latest stop on the Uber by Thames Clippers service, the pier provides a large public space for Londoners.

Located beside Ballymore and Oxley’s Royal Wharf development in London’s Royal Docks, our Royal Wharf Pier brings the very first floating public space to London and the Thames.

The 130m long pier and its new riverboat terminal address the practical requirements of Thames Clippers’ traffic while also providing a memorable new public space that can be enjoyed by the community, Londoners and visitors alike.

This project is featured as a project in RePower London: Infrastructure for Growth. The report, exhibition, and accompanying online project directory examine the critical infrastructure needed to support London's growth and resilience. We explore the role of innovation, collaboration, and sustainable design in shaping the city's future, with a focus on ensuring that London remains fit-for-purpose, equitable, and competitive in the long term.
