A new campus in Stratford, East London, delivering high-quality student accommodation & an exciting new science facility with flexible, multi-functional space for teaching & experimental laboratories.

The first phase of University College London’s UCL East campus is a transformative science-based project that erodes divisions between research, education and enterprise, and barriers between academics and the public. Around a memorable top-lit atrium that will operate virtually 24/7, is a 3-storey, 5,400 sqm academic space that is easily adaptable. Above the terrace rise two slender towers containing 500 student rooms with large glass-sided ‘observation car’ communal spaces at the ends of the towers with stunning 3-way views.

Knowledge Networks: London and the Ox-Cam Arc

UCL East, Pool Street West, lies on the southern edge of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The project, currently under construction, is comprised of two residential towers, containing over 500 student rooms, raised above 4,600 sqm of flexible multi-functional space that will house the Future Living Institute with teaching and experimental laboratories, including UCL’s Centre for Robotics & Autonomous Systems, the Global Disability Innovation Hub, the Culture Lab, Nature-Smart Cities Labs and the Urban Room. The building’s flexible lower levels can be configured to suit a wide range of activities and public events including performances, exhibitions, workshops and lectures.
