Stella is currently Director of Economy and Skills at Westminster City Council and has over 25 years senior leadership experience across public, private and charity sector.  She joined Westminster City Council from central government (UKHMG) where she worked on policies strategic programmes aimed at boosting economic growth through an increase in exports and investment opportunities. 

Stella is passionate about collaborating with local communities and stakeholders to achieve sustainable outcomes and lasting impact.  She has extensive experience delivering strategic policies and programmes in economic development, regeneration, community renewal and sustainability. 

Previously, she held leadership roles at London Borough of Croydon; London Development Agency (the economic delivery arm of the GLA until 2012); the Institute for Sustainability and the Centre for Workforce Intelligence (part of Mouchel Ltd). She started her career as a medical laboratory scientist working in diagnostic laboratories.
