As part of the NLA Lates series, join us for the launch of our latest report ‘Public London: Activating the City’.
This evening celebrates the 20th anniversary of the London Festival of Architecture, launching a special retrospective publication, ‘Public London: Activating the City’. Building on the NLA’s 2015 ‘Public London’ study, the publication will look back at some of the momentous projects of the last two decades that have helped transform London’s public realm and consider how the festival has elevated public places through cultural placemaking, place activation and meanwhile uses.
Drawing upon the lessons learned, the publication will integrate an action orientated toolkit aimed at all placemakers – designers, developers, local authorities and communities – to guide the design and activation of public spaces.
