Audrey is a Director in the London office of WSP, leading multidisciplinary teams with a particular emphasis on mixed-use high rise construction in London, working within the  constraints of existing infrastructure. With a background in structural engineering, she is involved in both technical and management aspects, delivering projects from Masterplanning through to completion. On her projects, she often marries the new build aspect with elements of building re-use and incorporation of listed building elements. The complementary (some might say competing) needs of  “new” vs “heritage” are a common discussion point on projects in London. Audrey is also the WSP lead for the Future Ready initiative, a global remit to design of future scenarios. Audrey  has an interest in designing for adaptability and flexibility, with the aim of avoiding future building obsolescence. By considering the future, we are safeguarding tomorrow’s heritage buildings, and also we are finding ways to make adapt historic buildings for modern use.
