David Gilbert
David Gilbert is Professor of Urban and Historical Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London. He has written on the historical development of London’s suburbs, and on the significance of religious organisations and identities for suburban culture. He has written on other aspects of the modern history of London and other world cities, notably on the relationships between cities and imperialism, and on urban fashion production and consumption.
