Mustafa has over 20 years of experience as an architect and is particularly adept in managing multi-disciplinary, international teams, collaborating with KPF's New York office to develop and expand the firm's international practice. 

Since joining KPF in 1999, he has worked on a variety of schemes across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Projects range from commercial, residential, hospitality and mixed use developments to large-scale masterplans with complex urban and transportation issues. Most recently, Mustafa has served as Design Principal overseeing the Abu Dhabi International Airport Midfield Terminal Complex, one of the largest projects currently under construction in the world. The project will dramatically increase the airport's capacity, allowing it to process 50 million travellers per year and confirming Abu Dhabi's status as both a global business centre and luxury destination.
