Equalities Designer and Researcher

-

Natasha Trotman
Natasha Trotman is a multi-award winning Equalities Designer, Researcher, ND and disability activist. Natasha's cross-sector practice explores extending the frontiers of knowledge across neurodivergence and cognitive difference (inclusive of acquired neurodivergence), including non-typical ways of being, bodyminds, marginalised experiences, and reframing mainstream notions of equality, equity, diversity, and inclusion. This is done via an intersectional design lens involving forming physical interactions through various modes, including therapeutic arts, investigative play, and policy design. Natasha has a Master's degree in Information Experience Design from the Royal College of Art and is a qualified therapeutic arts practitioner. Natasha previously worked as a Research Associate at The Royal College of Art's Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design (HHCD) and at The Wellcome Collection Hub on the Wellcome Trust and HHCD 2-year research project Design and The Mind. Natasha is one of the co-designers and developers of Wellcome's Social Justice Curriculum. She is also a Co-Production Matters Strategic Implementation Board Member (pan-disability, neurodiversity) for local government and sits on a local authority's Inclusive Design Review Panel (built environment and public realm).
