Associate director and structural engineer Peter Corbett’s engineering design philosophy combines idealism with pragmatism. Through close collaboration with architects, clients, makers and designers — nationally and internationally — he ensures structural efficiency, buildability, low-carbon credentials and structural elegance. A co-founder of Corbett & Tasker (now part of Whitby Wood), he leads a project team specialising in advanced timber design and refurbishment. His award-winning portfolio of imaginative projects includes Stroud Chapel, Rudolph Steiner House, Gorton Monastery, buildings reconstruction using Passivhaus principles and bespoke timber constructions.
