Sophie Thompson Expert panel member
Sophie is a Landscape Architect and Director at LDA Design. As Head of Public Realm at LDA, she has over twenty years’ experience in the design and delivery of great places, streets and urban spaces. This can be seen through her design leadership on the West End Project, Newcastle City Centre Transformation Programme and at Southsea seafront.
 
She is currently involved in healthy streets projects at Great Ormond Street, and in and around Carnaby Street, King’s Cross, Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden and Enfield Town. Carving out new types of urban and green space to create healthier, safer and more experiential towns and cities. Sophie is a recognised authority on future street and public realm design and is on the High Streets Task Force.
