Yasmin Ali is the Project Director for working for Tower Hamlets Council responsible for delivery of their new Town Hall project, the iconic former Royal London Hospital, a Grade II listed building in Whitechapel. The Tower Hamlets Town Hall was opened to the public in February 2023, after nearly 5 years of construction. She worked with the contractors as the client lead and with the architects and heritage specialists to ensure the historic value of the building was preserved; whilst the new build extension was a complimentary addition which would meet the councils requirements for civic centre. The ground floor includes space for the public with well-designed public realm, ensuring the local community have a legacy to be proud of for years to come. Yasmin has over 25 years of experience in housing, regeneration, and new build; delivering social and private housing, office, retail, community buildings and public realm improvement projects.
