Connecting London Nationally and Internationally
Global cities play a vital role in addressing shared challenges like climate change, housing, affordability, and migration. London’s built environment can benefit from stronger national and international dialogue to exchange ideas, share best practices, and inspire positive change. The NLA Cities Programme fosters cross-city collaboration, enabling London to learn from other cities and offer its expertise in city-making to global leaders, developers, and investors.
The programme includes key initiatives such as City Dialogues, online events connecting London policymakers and urban designers with peers from other cities, and Cities Roundtables, high-level discussions with city leaders from around the world. In person City Delegations visits to The London Centre welcome international city mayors, developers, and investors for bespoke study tours of London’s key regeneration sites.
The programme also leverages global platforms like the London Real Estate Forum, Opportunity London and major events such as MIPIM, UKREiiF and Expo Real to promote London’s investment opportunities and city-making expertise. Initiatives like the New London Awards and the London Festival of Architecture showcase London’s design and development excellence, fostering cross-city collaboration on a global stage.
