Following the launch of our Tall Buildings report, this PechaKucha explored the upcoming tall buildings set to add to the city's iconic silhouette.

Architects, urban planners, and industry insiders unveiled the latest skyscrapers that have just received planning approval and those that are in the proposal stages. These new additions promise to not only enhance the urban fabric of London but also set new benchmarks in design, sustainability, and innovation.

With an increasing demand for adaptable, sustainable, and inviting buildings, this PechKucha explored how these projects employ innovative solutions, such as mixed-use spaces, urban greening, and public amenities, thereby setting new standards in the architectural landscape

The format, Pecha Kucha (ペチャクチャ), was devised in Tokyo in 2003 by the English architect Mark Dytham and has turned into a massive global celebration of design, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat", it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. The format makes presentations concise, keeps things moving at a rapid pace and holds its audience.
