Watch back on this Airflow webinar hosted by NLA and hear from Ian Palmer on understanding MVHR for Commercial Buildings.

This webinar looks at why we need ventilation, and why mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) is an ideal solution, and we will also explore how the heat recovery process works. There will be examples of MVHR units demonstrated, with an in-depth look at all the individual key components such as the latest EC fan technology.

Learn about the key drivers for MVHR such as legislation, the latest building regulations Part F, L and O, CIBSE guidance documents, Energy Related Products Directive (ErP) and Passivhaus (Passive House) standards. Whilst also exploring different types of heat recovery heat exchangers, various filters used and available to improve the indoor air quality (IAQ), and other energy-saving technologies which make up the MVHR units.

The session concludes with information on energy efficient control systems, which includes Building Management Systems (BMS), internet connectivity and Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) where sensors are utilised, ending on typical MVHR applications, and example projects.
