Alix has worked in the field of sustainable transport since 1999, building a solid career enabling people from a variety of communities to choose cycling and walking. She has worked on school travel for national charity Sustrans; the Cycling for Women project with the Women’s Design Service; for the London Borough of Hackney on their award-winning transport programme; and in the private sector on a range of project contracts. As well as running her own bike social enterprise Carry Me Bikes and continuing her consultancy work, Alix now heads up Enfield’s complementary measures section of their Cycle Enfield (Mini Holland) programme.
