Amanda is a Senior Associate Director at PRD, a consultancy that develops strategies for assets and places. Her career spans socioeconomic consultancy, transport planning, urban design, and urban research. She is especially interested in using data to help explain social and economic dynamics of high streets, town centres, and cities and to underpin decisions that affect how places evolve.

Much of Amanda’s work focuses on high street and local authority economies. She has led town centre and borough economic strategies across London, often with an inclusive economy focus to ensure that economic change positively benefits residents, workers, and local businesses. She was part of the project team that helped set up the GLA’s award-winning, world-leading High Streets Data Service in 2020 and remains involved as a member of the service’s steering group.

Amanda has also led several projects relating to work and workspace. She co-directed Future of London’s ‘Workspace That Works’ programme of research and events from 2016 to 2020, and has since carried out workspace and employment space reviews and affordable workspace strategies for local authorities and LEPs. These projects have included consideration of innovation space, creative workspace, and other typologies.
