Ayako is an Urban Designer with experience of masterplanning both in the UK and internationally. Since joining HOK in 2019, Ayako has gained and evolved skills in comprehensive site analysis, development of urban design strategies, and strategic concept masterplanning. She has been involved in all stages of the planning and design process from producing vision documents for initial concept designs to preparing outline and detailed planning applications. Her experience includes work in a variety of sectors, including mixed use, residential, sports, education and healthcare. Ayako has also actively participated in stakeholder consultation events for a range of projects; most recently, consulting university administrators, academics and students for a new campus masterplan.
