Blossom leads on policy, research and advocacy at Poplar HARCA, campaigning for hyper-local, community driven, housing and regeneration delivery models. She spent ten years leading its placemaking programme, developing socio-economic, cultural, community and environmental regeneration strategies and projects that grow cohesive places and create sustainably mixed communities. Key projects include meanwhile and creative interventions in Aberfeldy Village; fashion-focused enterprise hub Poplar Works; under-utilised space activation scheme Open Poplar; and creative youth arts space Spotlight. Her background is in youth and community empowerment where she has held a range of senior roles across the public and voluntary sectors. Beyond Poplar, Blossom is an elected Councillor in her home borough of Newham where she leads on Council housing improvements and is a trustee at Project Art Works, a collective of neuro-diverse artists and their families working at the intersection between art and social care.
