Cecilia is an urban designer and nature conservationist specialising in strategic frameworks, placemaking visions, research and storytelling. Her work centres on resilient, equitable and inclusive places for diverse populations.
She honed her skills as a long-standing team member at Studio Egret West, where she led complex, mixed-use regeneration projects across the UK, including: the zonal masterplan for the East Wick & Sweetwater Olympic legacy neighbourhood; the Mayfield mixed-use development and 6-acre park in central Manchester; and the Old Vinyl Factory masterplan for the former EMI headquarter in West London.
Cecilia joined Future Places Studio in 2022 and has since delivered research projects and reports on a range of topics that affect our everyday, such as inclusive public spaces, AI and social value in the built environment. She has authored numerous publications for the NLA, including Homes for Londoners - a new agenda for public housing; Skills for Places - inspiring future city makers; and Public London - activating the city.
She also leads the public programme for East London Waterworks Park which aims to wild brownfield sites across the capital for the benefit of nature and people.
