Kam Rai is a Labour Party politician, with a career in financial services; and currently Deputy Leader of Redbridge London Borough Council in England.

He was first elected to the Council in May 2014 to Goodmayes Ward and elected Deputy Leader of the Council and Labour Group in May 2018.

Cllr Rai has been the Cabinet Member for Finance since October 2014 and has also held the Leisure and Culture portfolio, and now includes Regeneration and Property with his Finance brief. 

Cllr Rai is a governor at the Redbridge Adult Institute and volunteers with a local homelessness charity. He is married with three children and likes to keep fit and is currently training to run his first London Marathon next year.
