Paul has been a Councillor in Croydon for over 13 years, and has been a vocal and leading member of the planning committee for the whole of that time.

He is currently in his second term as its Chair.  He is also the Borough’s ‘Design Champion’.  Both roles are heavily informed by his 24 years’ experience as an architect.  He is a director of TP Bennett architects where he particularly specialises in social infrastructure projects including schools and healthcare projects.
