David is a Chartered Fire Safety Engineer and leads the London team of over 30 fire engineers in Arup. This is part of the wider Arup fire practice consisting of over 100 fire engineers across 9 offices in the UK and over 200 fire engineers worldwide. David has worked at Arup since 2000 and specialises in the fire safety design of buildings in the design, construction and operational stages. He acts as an Expert Witness on façade fire safety in residential buildings, regulatory compliance, defect remediation and dispute resolution. David has particular experience in high rise residential and commercial design and is passionate about driving up levels of safety beyond the minimum standards required for regulatory compliance.

David has also worked abroad with Arup in Australia and Hong Kong and so brings this global expertise to his current role.
