Ernie is a Senior Project Architect in HOK’s Heritage and Adaptive reuse team. He is an accredited Specialist Conservation Architect, with significant experience in complex mixed-use development involving historic building/s within sensitive context.
Before joining HOK, Ernie led on the conservation workstream for Parliament Northern Estate Programme, the refurbishment and redevelopment of a number of significant Grade I, II* and II buildings, and was project leader for 90 Bartholomew Close, Smithfield, of a wider Barts Square regeneration award winning scheme.
Other notable projects include 10 New Burlington Street, an RIBA London Region award winner, and AirW1 in Piccadilly Circus, an RIBA London Region and National award winner. Having the privilege to be involved in several projects focused on adaptive reuse/repurpose of historic buildings has allowed Ernie to acquire particular skills in both new build construction and building conservation and how they come together harmoniously which is key to the design and delivery of such projects.
