Frances Brown joined Cundall in 2024 as a Partner in Cundall’s building services team, and in the short term she’s been with the business, she has made a lasting impact. As global workplace sector lead, she drives the strategic direction and business development for the sector, while continuing to deliver technical projects in London alongside her team. Prior to joining Cundall, Frances spent 17 years at Hoare Lea, where she also led major multi-disciplinary workplace projects across London. 

An influential figure in the industry, Frances advocates for a more sustainable, equal and approachable built environment through various events, such as MIPIM, and through wider industry networks. She is a long-standing member of the British Council for Offices (BCO), contributing through the London judging panel, the board of management, and currently, the research committee, where she can contribute to the direction of the workplace sector through the BCO research programme. She also fosters knowledge sharing and industry dialogue, most recently participating in GPE’s engineering roundtable and Bisnow’s panel on leasing trends and occupier demands, exploring what it takes to deliver a winning office in 2025. Her increasing influence was duly recognised by Bisnow, naming her a ‘workplace warrior’ in their ‘21 women who will shape the future of UK real estate’ list, published in October 2025.  

Collaboration, creativity, and inclusivity are central to Frances’ approach. She is committed to breaking down traditional industry barriers and has built strong relationships with developers, occupiers, and architects to deliver innovative and industry standard projects. “Every project we undertake is moving the whole industry forward in its own way,” says Frances whilst championing sustainability (through Cundall’s Zero Carbon Design 2030 initiative and beyond) and inclusivity through her leadership. 

Frances is also a passionate advocate for diversity in STEM and engineering, mentoring female colleagues and supporting emerging talent.
