Franz boasts more than 20 years of experience in designing and optimising water supply, heating, underfloor heating, gas, district heating & sewer pipes for the built environment. He is a keen contributor to a number of industry bodies. This includes his position as Chair of BSI 88/2 British Standard Committee on plastic piping for pressure applications (BSi 88/2), more than 10 years actively participating in BPF Plastic Pipe Group on various projects, as well as contributing to the CEN / ISO standard developments. In particular, Franz has spent recent years specialising in the application of acoustic drainage for tall buildings and educating around its link to fire safety.
