Giles leads the studio’s design direction, bringing an imaginative and intellectually grounded approach to every project. His approach to design arises from a broad engagement with architectural history and style, informing the contemporary ethos of the studio.
Giles plays a central role in the design development of each project, from concept through to delivery, with particular expertise in the adaptation of heritage-sensitive existing buildings. He is driven by a passion for architectural language, form and details, often explored through exploratory hand sketches.
Before establishing Goldstein Heather, he was an Associate Director at Squire and Partners, having previously worked at The Manser Practice, where he delivered an award-winning private house. He studied at the Bartlett following an undergraduate degree in Modern History at the University of Oxford, and later completed his Diploma at the University of Westminster.
He sits on the Hounslow Design Review Panel.
