Gill was running an arts and media consultancy working with universities and cultural organisations before she joined London College of Communication in 2015.

She began her film career at the British Council before heading up film festivals and media centres in Birmingham, Nottingham and Liverpool. Back in London, she was head of the regional film development agency and then brought  the cultural regeneration experience she’d acquired  to leading CreateKX in Kings Cross between 2006 and 2010.
