Giorgia Scognamiglio is an architect and placemaking expert with extensive experience delivering inclusive, resilient, and community-led public realm projects across London. She is currently part of LB of Lambeth's regeneration team, leading the development of a placemaking strategy for Brixton Town Centre and the delivery of a major public realm scheme in South Bank. Previously, she developed a public realm strategy and design guide for Walthamstow, and delivered the first phase of improvements linked to the opening of Soho Theatre Walthamstow. Giorgia’s work focuses on strengthening local identity, supporting economic vitality, and embedding social and environmental value through design. She is passionate about reimagining high streets and public spaces as adaptable, people-centred places that foster connection, wellbeing and long-term resilience.
