Helen has worked in inner city schools for over 40 years, more than half of that time as a Headteacher. She has always had an interest in architecture and the impact of the built environment on how people feel about themselves.

This interest combines with a commitment to providing the best possible environment for learning for the students and the adults who work with them. This perspective informed her contribution to the redevelopment of 2015 New London Award winning Burntwood School, designed by AHMM.
