James is an Associate Director at Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands. He joined the practice in 2010 having worked previously for both Allies and Morrison and Wilkinson Eyre.

James has particular expertise in the design and procurement of contemporary façade systems. This combines with his extensive experience in the conversion and re-purposing of pre- and post-war listed buildings for workplace, retail and mixed-use both in the West End and internationally. James has been a member of the Design Review Panel for the London Borough of Bromley since 2023.
