Joe Dromey has been Director of Central London Forward since April 2021.

Central London Forward is the sub-regional partnership of the 12 central London local authorities. It works together with its member authorities and with other stakeholders to support inclusive and sustainable growth in central London. 

Joe's career has focused on employment and skills policy and on local government. He started as an employment advisor, supporting long term unemployed people in Southwark into work, before working as a council officer in Newham. Joe has worked at think tanks and research institutes including IPPR and Learning and Work Institute, and as Political Advisor to a Shadow Secretary of State. Joe was a Councillor and Cabinet Member in the London Borough of Lewisham for seven years.
