Joel Cohen is a civil servant in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Digital Planning programme. He has experience in communications and public affairs roles in the public and charities sectors, including for the Royal Town Planning Institute and Sport England. He is also an Associate Fellow of the Academy of Ideas and a regular convenor and chair of debates at London’s annual Battle of Ides festival.
