Johanna Agerman Ross
Johanna is the Chief Curator at the Design Museum. She previously worked at the V&A museum in London as its curator of 20th-century and contemporary furniture and 20th-century product design.

She is the founder and director of the leading quarterly design journal Disegno, founded in 2011. Before founding Disegno, Johanna was an editor at Icon and also worked at the Design Museum in London. She is originally from Sweden but moved to London to study Fashion Promotion at the London College of Fashion and History of Design at the Royal College of Art.

Johanna is a member of the advisory board at the V&A Research Institute in London and Chart Design in Copenhagen. She lectures widely and has taught at the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins in the UK; guest-lectured at HEAD Geneve and been part of crits at ECAL in Switzerland; Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands and the School of the Art Institute Chicago in the US.

Johanna is also a volunteer with the Young Women’s Trust where she lends support to women looking for the next step in their career by helping with CV writing and job application letters. She also volunteers with Food Cycle, delivering groceries and cooked meals to vulnerable individuals as a consequence of COVID-19.
