Kate Anderson
Kate joined the Royal Docks in May. Kate leads the Culture and Activation Team and is responsible for the development and implementation of the Royal Docks’ cultural placemaking strategy to help position the area as a world-class cultural destination, anchored by local people.

Kate works in partnership with a diverse stakeholder group to support the development of a thriving and self-sustaining local cultural ecosystem, and to design a distinctive and innovative cultural programme that builds local engagement, boosts the visitor economy and attracts inward investment. 

Prior to joining the Royal Docks, Kate was Director of Bloomsbury Festival which she relaunched in 2015. Kate was joint CEO of Southampton’s Nuffield Theatre for twelve years where she produced performing arts and outdoors arts in Southampton and on tour nationally and internationally. Kate is one of the founding directors of Ingenious Purpose Theatre Company, is a Trustee of Streatham Space Project and Bloomsbury Festival, and is an Arts Quality Assessor for Arts Council England.
