Kate leads the EC BID – one of the largest occupier BIDs in the UK by income and one of the newest BIDs in the City of London, established in April 2022. With a background in communications and destination marketing, Kate has more than 20 years’ experience working for corporate and consumer clients, in both the public and private sectors. Prior to taking up her role at EC, she was Director of External Affairs at Primera, the London based global place leadership consultancy. Alongside supporting projects in Australia, Latin America and Europe, Primera has a portfolio of central London Business Improvement Districts, including the five that currently operate across the Square Mile. 

 

Before joining Primera Kate worked for leading PR agencies for many years working on projects including King’s Cross and the opening of High Speed 1 and St Pancras International. Kate started her career in the public sector, including working at the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), advising the then Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott and the former Housing Minister Yvette Cooper on communication issues.
