Kiru is a Chartered Architectural Technologist with a Masters in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability from Oxford Brookes University. She joined Max Fordham LLP in 2020. Prior to this Kiru worked at BRE for over 12 years as a Senior Sustainability Consultant holding a range of responsibilities including project management, client liaison and technical delivery.
Much of her work centres on environmental design, developing site level sustainability frameworks, digital design appraisals for circular economy and undertaking Post Occupancy Evaluations.
With over 15 years of experience, across a broad range of domestic and commercial projects, Kiru adopts a cross-disciplinary approach to design thinking and delivery.
Kiru is the regional Secretary for the CIAT East Anglia Chapter. She also holds a two-year certification in Higher Education on Charity and Social Enterprise Management from Anglia Ruskin University.
Kiru is currently leading the development of a sustainability and wellbeing framework for Boughton Heath Retirement Village at Chester. The scheme has a strong focus on delivering a high-quality environment that enhances wellbeing and quality of life for the community. This involves leading workshops for setting the vision, developing performance targets, KPIs and input into the design and planning process.
