Kristian is a civil engineer with a doctorate in environmental technologies, he is a Chartered Environmentalist with a history in systems analysis and environmental impact assessment modelling. Kristian leads the Arup Climate Change and Analytics team where he develops and manages a broad programme of work across climate change resilience and decarbonisation. Kristian has specialised in climate change mitigation and is an experienced life cycle practitioner and has lead and delivered many system modelling projects considering GHG emissions. This includes using system modelling tools such as life cycle assessment and multi-regional input output, along-side more bespoke and tailored methodologies methods to measure emissions levels and explore mitigation responses. His work has been used to inform policy and strategy advice, guide design projects, advise Governments, cities, sectors and organisations, as well as support product development programmes.
