Matt is an Associate Director in Arup’s City Economics team, and specialises in providing economic and strategic advice to clients including the UK government, the World Bank, the Greater London Authority, and the private sector. Matt led the Mayor of London’s study on the economic future of London’s Central Activities Zone (CAZ) post-COVID, and has carried out studies of the future of London’s creative sector, of London’s property sector, and of the opportunities for rural offices post-pandemic. Before joining Arup, Matt fulfilled a Senior Civil Service at the Department for Transport, where he led major infrastructure investment projects.
