Purcell

Max Thomson
Max Thomson led Purcell’s 2024 research and development publication titled Reinforced Aerated Autocalved Concrete (RAAC) in Listed Buildings. Max is a RICS chartered building surveyor with a background of architectural design. He has worked at Purcell since 2020 and is a member of their dedicated Palace of Westminster team of architects and surveyors and the Purcell’s modern architecture working group, Purcell:modern. Prior to this Max worked in Kent for 4 years for RIBA chartered architecture practices specialising in listed buildings and new architecture using traditional materials and techniques.

His interest and experience in pre-war historic buildings and conservation provides a strong foundation for the increasingly important aptitude for the conservation and upgrading of post war modern architecture.
