Melissa is an urban researcher working on a number of commissioned studies, including incisive research on employment and places of work. 

She has a Masters degree in City Design and Social Science from LSE and degrees in Value & Policy Studies as well as Politics, Philosophy & Economics. Prior to joining We Made That she worked as a Research and Projects Officer for The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community and coordinator for Future London - the London branch of Our Future Cities, an independent non-profit organisation committed to building a democracy around the future of cities.
