Mike leads the Future Cities Initiative at WSP UK, drawing sector expertise from across the breadth of WSP’s business units to deliver joined-up thinking for complex urban problems, worldwide. Mike is a founding member of the Working Group for Sustainable Cities at Harvard University, a Guest Practitioner at the London School of Economics Cities Programme, where he lectures on Systems Thinking, Industrial Symbiosis, Urban Metabolism theory, and the use of Computational Tools in Spatial Planning. He has worked on the MSc Sustainable Urbanism Design Studio at University College London for the last four years, lecturing on Strategic Planning and Smart Cities. Mike is an academician of the Academy of Urbanism, and a Contributing Editor of the Global Urbanist Journal (www.globalurbanist.com).
