Peter graduated from Birmingham School of Architecture in 1977 and became a Director of Ryder in 1984. Peter has lectured and written widely. He has a keen interest in the visual arts and regularly works with artists to integrate their work into the architectural design process. He has a passionate belief in the importance of design and culture in the process of regeneration and in the power of collaborative multidisciplinary working. He is regional chair RIBA, chair of BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, chair of governors at Newcastle Church High School, chair of Home Group’s Design Review Panel and vice chair of the NE Regional Design Review panel.
