Ruth Hynes is a Associate Design Researcher with a background in architecture, who believes that research and innovation are integral to the design and creation of transformative buildings and places that can positively impact people’s lives. She works with multi-disciplinary design teams to apply innovative approaches and technology to address built environment challenges; from future trends and impact assessments, improving the use of data in design, to the use of sensor tech and community engagement. Working with a team of design researchers, data scientists and digital engineers to develop insight and innovation in the urban environment, Ruth uses evidence based approaches to influence design and deliver collaborative research and innovation projects across sectors and project scales.
