A Director at KPF, Sam brings a dedicated focus on the experience of the end user to each project. Bush House South West Wing is a deep retrofit project that addresses many of the challenges facing universities today, such as adapting historic or legacy buildings to meet emerging academic and sustainability requirements. The design focuses on delivering improvements to the student experience and creating spaces that support the future of King’s College London as an elite learning institution. These outcomes are delivered alongside ambitious goals for wellbeing and sustainability, including EnerPHit certification.
Sam is committed to supporting diversity and inclusivity in architecture. In addition to participating in KPF’s internal committees that focus on DEI, she has led efforts to welcome historically underrepresented groups to the profession, through university outreach, work experience, and student mentorship. Sam is active in academic networks, including the University Design Forum, and has spoken at international conferences.
